Jasmin Kolberg's first CD "Animato" covers an enormous range of musical history. With works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Claude Debussy, contemporary compositions such as Astor Piazzolla, Gordon Stout, Keiko Abe and her own composition, the artist demonstrates extraordinary differentiation and musical sensitivity. She is accompanied by the renowned artists Michael Sanderling, Eric Sammut, Marta Klimasara and Jürgen Spitschka.

As a soloist Jasmin Kolberg presents herself especially in virtuoso works by J. S. Bach, Keiko Abe, Gordon Stout and Michael Burritt.

The production is rounded off by compositions in the style of world music, which shine through their tonal colours and brilliance in the interplay with kalimba, djembe, rainmaker and other percussion instruments.

"Animato" is a successful debut album by international prize-winner Jasmin Kolberg and a recommendable CD not only for discerning "percussion insiders" but also for the audiophile music lover.
