Variants

All "Comfort" orchestra chairs feature pneumatic height adjustment. A safety pneumatic spring mechanism allows fluid, smooth, silent height adjustment by means of a release lever.

Adjustment: fluid inclination adjustment up to 20° via eccentric quick-release fastener

Seat shape: "F" shape with rounded right-hand-side front edge especially for double-bass players

Seat: fixed, non-swivelling

Backrest adjustment: fluid adjustment of height via knurled screw, fluid adjustment of inclination via pneumatic mechanism with release lever.

Base: four-legged base with pneumatic spring and two ground supports, high-gloss chrome-plated. The reinforcing ring stabilises the frame and serves as a further foot rest at the same time.

Foot rests standard: two variable foot rests, fluid height adjustment, swivelling; tread surfaces can rotate

Adjustable foot rest

This foot rest features a sturdy all-round rubber cover which provides secure anti-slip protection and at the same time protects the instruments. A clamping lever fixes the position of the foot rest without damaging the chrome-plated tubing of the chair base. The foot rests can be adjusted in height, and can be swivelled to the side. The foot rest tread surface can also rotate.

Ground supports

The sturdy ground supports guarantee an exceptional stability, particularly helpful when turning pages. And they permit a perfect adjustment to any irregularities in the floor level.

Seat inclination

The seat inclination can be fluidly adjusted by up to 20° by means of a sturdy, user-friendly eccentric quick-release fastener. Once set, the position is firm and steady.

Seat form

The special version of the "F" profile seat featuring a rounded front edge on the right is ideally suited to the seating posture of double-bass players. The rounded front edge forestalls leg fatigue and circulatory problems.
Seating surface: width x depth = 44 x 42 cm.

Seat design

The seat, mounted on elastic rubber elements, is crafted from robust multi-ply beech wood and features ventilation perforation holes. The seats have a 4 cm thickness of high-quality breathable foam rubber cushioning.

Backrest adjustment

The backrest inclination is adjusted by means of a TÜV-tested safety pneumatic spring with release lever with break-proof bearing. Thanks to extreme lift of the pneumatic spring, the backrest provides support even when seated in the foremost seating position. Ist specially-angled back upright enables it to provide back support even when seated well forward on the seat surface. The removable backrest can be adjusted in height fluidly and silently by means of a knurled screw. The position set is firm and steady.

Backrest

The backrest pan is made from multi-ply beech wood and covered with a synthetic material covering. The backrest cushioning is a 3 cm thick layer of high-quality breathable furniture-grade foam rubber. Its moveable mounting on back upright allows it to adapt perfectly to the user's posture.

Fabric cover

The chair has a high-quality, flame-retardant upholstery fabric made of Trevira® CS fibers (meets fire protection form B1) with a rub resistance of 100,000 Martindale (maximum durability). The standard colour is noble anthracite.

We strongly recommend 2 or 3 tone soil-resistant fabrics. However, custom upholstery is available on demand.
