Bars
All Kolberg glockenspiel bars are made of high-quality steel with a cross section of 30 x 10 mm. The silver matt chrome-plated surface guarantees play without annoying light reflections with all kinds of lighting. Other surfaces upon request.
The fixing pins of the bars are rubber coated and placed below the beating surface, so that you can't hit them by accident.
Tension Cords
High-quality special braided nylon cords do not cause any annoying vibration side noise and are very hard wearing.
Resonance
Thanks to the new development of the freely oscillating bar suspension, the annoying transfer of the striking noise to the box is prevented
Frame & Bridges
The glockenspiel is fastened firmly inside a box with removable lid. The newly developed bridges made of solid common beech are mounted in a freely oscillating suspension system. In contrast to the black matt finish of the bars, the inside of the box is lined with light birch veneer in order to enhance visual orientation.
Transport
The box is made in flight case design and serves as transport case at the same time.
