The Neapolitan wooden clapper Triccaballacca (also Tricca-vallacca, Tric-ballac, Triccheballacche, Triaccabalacca, Braccabballa or Tralaballacco) consists of 3 small wooden hammers. The clapper is the further development of the more primitive trick-track and was traditionally used as a bell substitute in the Roman church during Holy Week.
